Casita Miramar

Casita Miramar is a family-run restaurant located in the once legendary Toro Hotel in the heart of Miramar.  It is brought to you by the owners of Casita Blanca in Santurce, a local favorite for the past 80 years, known for its comida criolla.

The menu at Casita Miramar is written on a chalkboard and changes daily, centering on the local fruits, vegetables and fish in season.

The restaurant prides itself on brining back Puerto Rican dishes that have long been forgotten and serves favorites such as chicharrones de tiburón, arepas con salmorejo de jueyes and chillo fresco with mojo Isleño.

The decoration is romantic and filled with cookbooks, old photos of Miramar, vintage furniture, high ceiling and beautiful arches.   At Casita Miramar, you will be transported back to another era yet still feel right at home.

We visited the restaurant in March. The food was so good! If you are in Puerto Rico it is a must!

Typical Puerto Rican cooking. Good ambiance, takes you back to Puerto Rico in the forties and fifties.
