Chef Erika Gómez
Erika Gómez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and grew up in the town of Juncos, located in the East coast of the Island. She graduated from culinary school at Escuela Hotelera de San Juan and immediately began working at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Isla Verde. Erika played an instrumental role in the opening of the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Georgia and served as Sous Chef of the famous restaurant BLT Steak. Under the guidance of renowned chefs Laurent Toroundel and Marc Forgione, she was introduced to French cuisine and learned many important skills she still practices in the kitchen today. In 2011, she was recruited to be a Sous Chef at La Concha, where she has since earned the title of Executive Chef of the quintessential San Juan resort.
Chef Gómez defines her cuisine style as classical with influence in French techniques. She prefers to use natural goods produced locally from the island.
