PyP Restaurant es un concepto creado por el Chef Waldy. Nuestro enfoque es trabajar con productos frescos locales y de temporada en un ambiente familiar.

PyP’s varied menu is made mostly with fresh local and seasonal products. Especially seafood. We have a wide variety of cocktails and wines. Cozy atmosphere for all kinds of occasions.
Chef Waldemar Marrero

Waldemar Marrero natural del pueblo de Lajas tiene 36 años de edad. Es Chef y propietario de PyP Restaurant en Caguas. Tiene 10 años de experiencia en la industria gastronómica. Estudió en la Escuela Hotelera de San Juan. Sus internados fueron con dos de los mejores chef’s puertorriqueños. Luego de tres años de internados, en el 2016 se le presenta la oportunidad de ir a cocinar a Madrid, España y la isla Sardinia, Italia. Viaje realizado para nutrir sus conocimientos y experiencias en la gastronomía. En el 2017 comenzó un proyecto, Pescao y Papitas, un foodtruck de mariscos. El cual estuvo operando por cuatro años y medio. En Agosto 2021 comenzó uno de los proyectos mas importantes de su vida, con muchísimo sacrificio abrió su primer restaurante de alta gastronomía: PyP Restaurant.

PyP restaurant is a great place to celebrate a special occasion and treat yourself to top-quality food and cocktails. The service is very good, the food quality and presentation are excellent, with great options for seafood dishes that are fresh and different. The ambiance and overall setting are pretty unique. This is a must-go place to visit, and well worth the trip to Caguas (30mins from San Juan).

Reminded me a bit of “almojabanas”, the Capitán was perfection! The goat cheese with fig sauce was memorable. Paola was a great server. Loved the ample space and the privacy each table had, high ceilings, beautiful woodwork. Great place to go in Caguas for a great dining experience. Thank you!
