Created by award-winning Chef Raúl Correa, ZEST serves a globally inspired casual menu influenced by iconic local dishes and using hand-picked ingredients from our farming community.

A warm, vibrant décor combining the elements—earth, wind, fire and water— complemented with a permanent collection by the Puerto Rican artist Lex Tirado, creates a sociable ambiance where you can enjoy delicious culinary delights and a creative selection of well-crafted cocktails and wines.

Chef Raúl Correa

Raúl Correa Soto has been in the kitchen for over 18 years. He began his culinary journey as Kitchen Supervisor at the Marriott Hotel and Casino, working his way up quickly through the ranks to Executive Chef at some of the finest hotels in Puerto Rico, including the legendary Normandie Hotel, thanks to his strong leadership skills and excellent ability to work as part of a team.

His knowledge of local and international cuisine as well as every aspect of kitchen operation and restaurant management made him a top consultant at Boutique Cuisine Catering and Kitchen Management from 2009-2011. This year he also became Chef-Instructor at Puerto Rico’s renowned Escuela Hotelera, until taking over at The Water Beach Hotel’s culinary operations as Executive Chef. Mr. Correa was also the 2008 Cattlemen’s Chef Challenge Champion, and is a collaborator for El Nuevo Día’s “Por Dentro” Food Section and Primera Hora.

Correa has adopted the most innovative cooking techniques, which led him to be nominated among the top 100 innovative chefs in the U.S. for the “The People’s Best New Chef 2013” of the prestigious FOOD & WINE® magazine.

Our dinner at Zest was incredible. The appetizers were delicious and inventive, especially the ‘magic’ popcorn soup. Everyone should go to Zest just to try it! It’s so different and beautifully presented!

From the entrees we ordered, the standout was the braised pork cheeks. The meat was tender and flavorful and the parsnip puree was a great foil its sweet and savory taste.

To sum it up: WOW! Absurd! This place is not only beautiful but the food is otherworldly. The chef is a genius who understands flavors and textures. I had the popcorn soup which I highly recommend, such a nice cognitive dissonance for your senses and it will blow your mind, the short ribs are good, they have a coffee rub and come with a parsnip pure that pairs amazingly well together. For dessert I had the pumpkin doughnuts, read this carefully, they are the best thing you will eat for dessert (and I do not have a sweet tooth) probably in a very long time. The ambiance is very chic and the bar is gorgeous with a fountain wall. Very creative concept.
