Good news for diners, gourmands and bargain-hunters. Restaurant Week is coming to San Juan, Puerto Rico from May 14-20!

Many of you probably know what restaurant week is all about. The popular restaurant promotion has been enjoyed in more than 70 countries around the world. For those who haven’t had the pleasure, the premise is simple: Restaurant week is a dining event in which participating restaurants offer a set 3-course menu of either $29 or $39. It’s a terrific opportunity to check out new places, return to old favorites or just enjoy an affordable gourmet night out.

The cool thing about Restaurant Week in San Juan is the variety it offers. From Old San Juan to Guaynabo and Hato Rey to Miramar, more than 30 restaurants are participating, showcasing a diverse array of cuisines, from Puerto Rican to Asian fusion to Italian to French. Some of my favorites are among those who are involved in the event. Here’s the list so far.
